Payroll - STP Reporting

Hi

 

Please can someone help me with a report of payroll to ATO that went through as an 'Update Event' with a Nil amount rather than reporting the actually Grosss and Tax amounts.

    Thanks for your post.

     

    Please confirm if you are seeing the nil amount under the STP reports window. If yes, this happens when an update event has been sent. This is also to make sure that the ATO will receive the most up-to-date figures for your employees. To check if the figures are correct, you may check the Payroll Activity and Payroll Register Summary reports. To do this, go to Reports > Click the Payroll tab > Run Activity Summary and Register Summary. Please refer to the screenshot below.

    Hi Doreen

     

    Thank you for following up.

    The amount on the STP report is nil; the amount should not be nil as a payroll run was reported for that period.  Please can you assist in finding out why it would have been reported as Nil.

    Thanks for your response.

     

    The reasons why a nil amount is showing on the STP report window are:

     

    • you send an update event.
    • The pay run recorded is already past the date.

    In your case, we would highly recommend checking if the figures are correct. You may check the Payroll Activity and Payroll Register Summary reports. To do this, go to Reports > Click the Payroll tab > Run Activity Summary and Register Summary. Please refer to the screenshot below.

     

     

    Once you've checked the reports and the figures are correct, you may disregard the nil amount shown on the STP report.
