Reinstating an Employee

We have an employee who resigned in August 2021.

He has now been re-employed, is there a way that I can re-instate him on the Payroll without re entering all his details?

I opted to restart the employee with a new card, as a lot of his details had changed.

Do I still need to go to Payroll reporting and cancel the Employment terminations for the old card ( for the same employee?)  ? and also to remove the finalisation ?

    Hi cramptons

If the card is new, you will not need to make any changes to the previous card's terminations or finalization. Please enter a full stop at the end in the employee name field of the new card so it can be distinguished from the old card file while reporting to the ATO or making declarations.
