    Hi there mark91,

I know that the figures may be confusing when the reports are not matched to each other. No worries; let's get everything back on track. The first thing you need to check are your payroll reports, such as payroll activity, payroll register, and YTD verification report, to see where the discrepancy is coming from. If the discrepancy is from the payroll register report, it would be best to check the employee card file included on each pay run. On the other hand, if it's the payroll activity that has incorrect figures, then you can check the recorded pay runs. You can also check each payroll category used to make sure that they're assigned to the correct ATO reporting category. Lastly, you can check this link for more information to assist you with incorrect figures from your payroll.

    Best regards,

  • Hi mark91

The amount showing on your online BAS is 'pre-fill' from the STP Reports. If you miss a STP Report, or send one thru twice, or lodge one as an Update instead of a Pay Event, then the 'pre-fill' amounts will be incorrect.

MYOB does not have a way to fix the 'pre-fill' as they do not support the ADJUST event type. As long as the employee YTD amounts were reported correctly, my advice would be to ignore the discrepancy. Override the BAS pre-fill with the correct amounts. These would be the amounts in MYOB if you have recorded all pays correctly.
