unable to connect to Payroll Regorting Centre

This weeks payrun was unable to be sent to the ATO as it keeps coming up with a messaage thats says: Something went wrong on our end. Sorry about that please try again later.

I have had no problems like this last week or any week before this week.

Our MYOB SE updates automatically so We are currenly on version 2022.8.0

Just wondering if this has to do with the recent update as I can see on the community page that its the same for others.

How and when will this be fixed?

  • Hello LeighaPecnik

Our team is currently investigating the cause of this issue.

Can you please check the version of windows you are on, if it isn't up to date, can you please update and then try again? Please let me know what version you were on, the version you upgraded to, and if it still gives you the error.

As a current workaround, you are able to put your file online and then log in using the browser version at app.myob.com and process the pay run.

I have had the same issue for the last week and when I phoned today I was told it is because we MUST IMMEDIATELY move our file online to the cloud, that we can no longer do STP without being in the cloud.

She said we were sent an email a couple of weeks ago telling us this was going to happen.

We did not get any such email.

        Hello PenJ

If you are getting the same error, it could be because of the Windows version. To ensure that they are using a supported version. Please see our System requirements page for currently supported operating systems Australia | New Zealand )

The other workaround for this current issue is putting your file online and logging in through the web browser at app.myob.com to process the pay run.

In regards to what you have been told about not being able to do STP unless the file is online, this is true if you are on STP phase 2. STP phase 2 requires you to have your file online.

If you are still using STP phase 1 you don't need to have your file online, but you have until 1 January 2023 to make the move. This is when it is mandatory to be on STP phase 2.

For more information on STP Phase 2 and its requirements you can check out this linked Help article on getting ready for STP phase 2.

If you are getting the unable to connect to payroll reporting centre error and you are on supported windows listed on our system requirements, please let me know which version you are on so that I can investigate further.

      Hi Chris,

We are on Windows Server 2012 R2.

Our IT guy went on last night to look for any updates and there wasnt any.

I am also not on Phase 2 yet. Still currently on Phase 1 as i get the same message that i cannot start the process unless I am online.

Nothing has changed on our Server since last Tuesdays Payroll run.
