Header accounts showing incorrect balance after importing from other MYOB account
Hello,
I have just imported the Chart of accounts to a new company several of the Header accounts are showing balances despite there being zero balances for all the detail accounts. The opening balances are all showing zero also.
I have tried to change the header account to a detail account, but MYOB will not allow it.
This and everything else I have tried is met with the message "Cannot change account category"
I relocated all detail categories below it to another header and that made no difference.
I cannot delete the account as I get the message "You cannot delete a category with a non zero current balance" however I have been unable to find any way to clear the balance to enable it.
I have seen on another forum to create a back up file, however the version of MYOB I am using does not seem to have that function
The help function does not allow me to list Chart of accounts as an issue.
Any help would be appreciated
