AccountEdge Pro V14.5 disappeared

I have been using AccountEdge Pro V14.5 for quite a while. I was ready to up upgrade and looked into migrating my old AccountEdge to MYOB business pro. However, after searching for my Account edge serial number my AccountEdge Pro V14 has completely disappeared from my laptop. Not sure what has happened. I was running the old AccountEdge from my 2015 MacBook which hasn't been upgraded since OS X Yosemite version 10:10:15 due to the receiving notification from MYOB that V14 was not compatible with Catalina and subsequent macOS versions. I have been using this version of MYOB since, without any problem until this morning.

I phoned MYOB support who told me that they couldn't help and to try this forum. I'm hoping someone can help me retrieve my AccountEdge pro please.

    Hi Genreve

    Thank you for your help. Unfortunately the issue got bigger and bigger with the age of my laptop not helping. We have managed to work from a file that I saved last week in order to generate invoices etc. I will be looking at purchasing  a new MYOB business package and hoping to migrate my Account edge over to this by the end of this week. Fingers crossed!!!

    Hi waterWoman

     

    Sounds like you’ve had a bit of a wrestle trying to track down your saved data. Good news though, your data’s almost certainly still on your Mac. Your company file and the AccountEdge app live in different spots, so if the app seems to have disappeared it’s usually a busted Dock shortcut, the app got removed, or you were running it off a disk image (.dmg) that isn’t mounted anymore.

    Give this a go:

    • Open Finder and search for AccountEdge Pro.
    • If you find the app, open it and navigate to your company file.
    • If you can’t find it, no stress, you can download the latest version from the MYOB website and reinstall.
