This is not acceptable!
We want control of our own data, including the ability to maintain offline backups of files stored online. Removing that level of control creates unnecessary risk and uncertainty for businesses.
MYOB, why the stubbornness? At the very least, customers should have been been allowed to complete and finalise the FY2026 financial year—including finalising payroll—before any changes affecting data access or backup capabilities were enforced.
Instead, this has created unnecessary stress during one of the busiest and most critical times of the financial year. Businesses rely on stability at year-end, not disruptive changes that limit access to their own records.
We need a practical solution that restores customer control over business data, including the ability to maintain reliable OFFLINE BACKUPS. Customers should never be placed in a position where they are entirely dependent on online access to their own financial records.
Surely this can be achieved if there is the will to do so. We are not asking for the impossible—only for a practical solution that gives customers reasonable control over their own data while continuing to use your cloud services.
