Offline file for staff training

I want to back up our file to work offline to train staff, more particularly, payroll, as I don't want it to be connected to the STP. We are checking the timesheets function. How do I do this please? We need our company file that is offline, which will have our workers there with the existing payroll set up. Of course we don't want to replace our existing online file since the offline is for training.

 

Please advise ASAP

    Ok, what I found out, we download the Server Edition and tick the security in Preferences to enable offline backups.

    Hi Eliane,

     

    Sorry for the late reply.

     

    Good question. If your file is already online, there isn’t a way to create a new offline backup (which you are using for training purposes). If you already have an older offline copy saved though, this can still be opened and used in AccountRight Server Edition which may help as an option for what you need. You can have both the online PC edition and the offline Server edition installed at the same time on a single computer with no issues.
