For anyone who needs a separate copy of MYOB records outside MYOB’s own online backup process, MyDataXport may be worth looking at.
It does not reinstate MYOB’s offline backup feature and it does not create a MYOB restore file. MYOB remains the live accounting system.
What MyDataXport does is export MYOB data and attachments into cloud storage controlled by the business, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox.
That can help where a business wants to keep its own independent archive for EOFY records, ATO/IRD record keeping, audit history, cancelled subscriptions, migrations, or access to supporting documents and attachments later.

However, we should not have to pay for an additional subscription or service simply to back up our own data on our devices or pay another fee just to obtain a copy of data that already belongs to us. We believe users should have reasonable access to back up and retrieve their own data without incurring extra costs.
MYOB should reconsider its decision to eliminate the offline backup option. Maintaining the ability for customers to create and store their own local backups provides greater control over their data, supports business continuity, and offers an important safeguard independent of cloud services.
camvas_myob 100% agree. I would just add that, if we need to restore a backup from a previous year, we want to do it immediately, not wait however long it takes MYOB to provide us with the copy. Then we need to restore to the current data, straight away, once we've finished accessing the old data. We definitely don't want to pay for something we can do ourselves (and have been for years)!
