Guys this is my first time here and my experience that all must know about. This is what can happen when you can not back up copy off line. MYOB gave the data file for my company to another person. MYOB gave them administrator rights so we have been locked out of our data file. Its basically shut our company down. We cannot pay tax, superannuation or invoice our clients. We can not meet any of our statutory obligation s to the ATO. I lodged a complaint nearly 4 weeks ago and have received no response. I rang yesterday and was put on hold for 3 hours. If have ever had any concerns about cloud based security of your MYOB files or the Files of your clients you are justified never to trust MYOB. Any sugestions please let me know as I'm getting desperate. It's a mjor data breach by MYOB. Sure they have gone cloud based but their security and internal systems have not caught up with there IT platforms
Hi dirkfielding , Im sure there is more context here that is missing rather than just "MYOB gave my data file to someone else"
That being said, this definitely sounds like a security concern which we treat seriously.
You can head to myob.com/security where you can report any security concerns (like this) and a specialised team will be able to help you right away.
Security cases do not join the standard support queues which currently have high wait times so this will ensure you can get help right away.
