How can I set a default Packing Slip template when Orders are printed under Setup → Preferences?

I am trying to work out how to set a specific customised Packing Slip template as the default form that prints automatically when Orders are printed using the “Automatically Print Packing Slips When Orders Are Printed” option in Setup → Preferences. I can select my customised Packing Slip under Customise Forms, but I cannot see any option to set it as the default form for this automated printing process. Could you please advise how to assign a customised Packing Slip as the default template used when Orders are printed? Any advice or suggestions please?

    Hi CarolineG,

    Appreciate for your detailed input. The Automatically Print Packing Slips When Orders Are Printed preference can only print Packing Slip‑type forms. It does not use the Order “Selected Form for Sale” setting. That’s why pointing Orders → Selected Form for Sale to your Customer Cartnote doesn’t change what prints.     Hi CarolineG,

    Great question, you’re right that there isn’t a separate default packing slip for auto‑print setting. AccountRight uses whatever packing slip form is selected as the default in the Print/Email window.

    Earl_HD​  Thank you for the feedback.

    I’ve followed all the directions provided, but MYOB is still printing the default packing slip instead of the customised version.

    I’ve also adjusted the “Select Form for Sale” setting to my custom Customer Cartnote under Advanced Filters, but it still doesn’t print my form.

    I’m using this as a workaround because we print the Customer Cartnote for around 98% of our orders.

    Is there perhaps a better method to ensure MYOB automatically uses the customised form when printing Orders?
