MYOB always so slow and unresponsive

This issue has been going on for years now. MYOB Accounright software is the slowest and least responsive piece of software I have ever had to deal with.

My files are cloud based. I'm on a 1 Gbs business fibre internet and working on a virtual machine based on the latest Apple silcon M3 Pro.

The performance is simply unacceptable.

I also run the sofware on Windows 10 specific hardware ... same issues. For the love of my working sanity MYOB get a better server backline to support your customers of whom you charge a small fortune for the "use" of a sub standard product.

  • Hi, Westsurf. Thank you for your post.

We understand your frustration with the performance issues you've been experiencing with MYOB AccountRight software. We are continuously working on improving our software and services, and your feedback is valuable in this process.

Based on the information I found, there are a few potential solutions that might help improve the software's performance:

    1. Check your storage space: Make sure that you have enough free space on your hard drive. If your storage is full, it can cause your system to slow down.
    2. Close unnecessary apps: Having too many apps open at the same time can slow down your system.
    3. Check for software updates: Make sure that your system is up to date with the latest software updates. Outdated software can cause performance issues.
    4. Check your Internet connection: Slow internet connection can also affect the performance of your system.
    5. Check your memory usage: If your system is running out of memory, it can cause performance issues.
    6. Run disk utility: Disk Utility can help you check and repair disk errors that might be causing performance issues.
