Hi JoanEllen , sorry for any confusion, I have certainly tried to be as consistent and clear as possible. But there are a lot of unique customer scenarios and probably over 100 replies from me on this topic now so I can completely understand.
No one is being 'forced' to go online or take a subscription though, although I acknowledge many are saying they feel that way.
Long story short:
- Want to continue working offline?
- You can do this in AccountRight Server Edition if you have a perpetual licence yes
- Note: Server Edition will not receive any further compliance, security or feature updates so we are not advising this as long term solution
- There are also community members like Liz_A and gavin12345 who are suggesting there are options for continuing to use an older version of PC edition if you look through some of their comments.
- You can download Server Edition from our downloads page here
- Want to work with AccountRight online?
- You can only do this in AccountRight PC Edition 2026.5 (and beyond)
- PC edition will continue to have monthly updates, the latest features, security and compliance updates as well as access to live services.

We have over 300 customers in our AccountRight offline datafile. I want to transfer the customer and contractor cards to the online BusinessPro. How do we do this please? I don't want to have to type in 300 customer cards. Please advise.
Hi JoanEllen , you wont need to do any manual updating in MYOB Business Pro.
Once you have purchased the subscription, you can submit a migration request here and MYOB will migrate your data from AccountRight into your MYOB Business file.
The team do have a lot of requests at the moment and are taking a little longer to process these, however you can continue working in your AccountRight file offline in Server Edition until they reach out and request a copy of/access to your file.
