OneDrive duplicating files

We have files saved in OneDrive that are being replicated. It seems to only replicate the files when the Myob add-in connector is running. There will be a heap of duplicate files created with the PC name appended to the end of the company files and it ends up with multiple copies of the same files with multiple copies of the computer name appended to the files.

Has anyone comes across this issue? Seems to only affect the Account right files as we also user Premier but those files aren't replicating.

    Hi TT4,

That's a tricky one! AccountRight files (such as .MYOX) are not well-suited to be stored in OneDrive or other cloud-synced folders. Every time a change is made in AccountRight, OneDrive attempts to sync the updated file. Because AccountRight files are large and frequently updated, this can result in OneDrive creating multiple versions or duplicates, sometimes appending the PC name to avoid conflicts. More information can be found here: OneDrive is full - AccountRight files

I would also suggest to submit a support a support request on this help page MYOB Help me OneDrive, then scroll down to Submit a Request.

    Regards,
    Earl

For Backup and redundancy, keep you files in private cloud, google storage or drop box, One drive is a Microsoft shared feature which works on replication. if changes are made , it immediately impacts those changes, as such you may lose the data.
