RDP Support of online files discontinued

MYOB  Pushed through an update to AccountRight Server edition yesterday. Version number did not change but it automatically updated and hey presto no more Online files in the Server Edition and an announcement discontinuing development. The timing of 30th June was the winner and leaves me quite gobsmacked. Here we are nice new Server and staff working away happily and then MYOB push an update and gonski. Words fail me.

 

MYOB care to illuminate the community?

    Thanks Amanda MYOB. The announcement was not clear that Server infrastructure would no longer support access to online files except via a web browser - which from our perspective is not as well developed UI compared to the desktop. The PC Desktop version will not run as an application in the server environment. We need to use the server environment as we have other applications that require this for our business.

    For the moment, as a workaround, we have installed MYOB PC Edition on local desktops, which makes getting some data a copy and paste exercise. It would be nice if the PC Edition would work in a Server (2025) environment - with online files.
