Read Only Back up File

Morning Gurus

I need to somehow give a third party "Read Only" access to my data file and not sure if I can send them a read only back up ?

There are a lot of discussions about this when cancelling your subscription but I am not cancelling my subscription

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

  • Hello Aziza07,

If someone needs access to your file, they'll need to have user access set up— otherwise, they won't be able to view it. Since the Read Only option isn't available for you to select, the best step is to reach out to support team directly on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, so they can help you out.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

    Hi Aziza07,

Welcome to the Community Forum! A read-only user can be set up in AccountRight by going to Setup >> User Access >> Selecting their user ID (on the left-hand) and tick the option Read Only (right-hand side). More information on roles can be found on help article: Set up roles

    Regards,
    Earl

      Thanks heaps Earl

I have done a dummy run on that and sent an invite to myself or the read only button wouldn't highlight

Was hoping you could do it like we used to prior to the online versions of physically giving them a read only file not linked to our subscription
