Assist App doesn’t work as Read Only

Have 20 staff that were happily using the capture App to send receipts to the Finance Officer. They were all set up with read only access and Time Billing so they had no access to the actual file as this would be a breach of our company security. The new Assist App will not work anymore using these settings. Having staff go back to emailing the receipts is extremely time consuming and now they forget. What is the fix ? Thank you

  • HI JenSch​ yesterday we released an update so that your team can use the capture feature when you give them 'Contacts' permissions with read only. Hope this helps!

    Hi JenSch,

    We’re working on a solution to enable the same functionality, and it’s coming soon. In the meantime, you can continue using the Capture app, which remains accessible.

    The roles and permissions work a little differently to the previous MYOB Capture app. A breakdown of the roles and permissions required for the MYOB Assist app can be found on this page.

    Hello,

     

    I have managed to sort this out but now staff have access to all the customer database that is stored in MYOB via the more button down the bottom. Again this is a security breach for our business and not something we want staff to access. They can’t invoice but can still see this information ?

    I have this issue too! I only have purchases ticked as their role but they can edit,delete, email and change customer information from the app. What is the solution please?

    Ooops worked it out - I had a box ticked under cards. All sorted now.

    Does this mean using the old capture app or the new myob assist? Thank you

    You asked - our product team delivered JenSch​! Just in case you haven't seen the update yet, you can now let team members upload receipts without full user access. Once your app is updated head to our website for a full overview of the roles and what each can do: www.myob.com/au/support/myob-business/business-settings/manage-users.
