i've lodged a request with frankieone to ask how long they retain data for.
Also, can MYOB confirm in writing that you are not doing a credit check on any user or business? I see your privacy policy expressly states that you can. I am unable to understand why I need to have a credit check conducted on me just so MYOB can force payments on us.
Read the room - MYOB should be making this an opt in, with additional verification at that stage. One wonders if the extra income you lot see as coming your way will make up for the exodus of disgruntled customers.
Its simple for me - I just won't use the email system - I already save every invoice as a PDF as I dont trust MYOB to retain data after your great HTML 5 screwup of maybe 6 years ago - saving each and every PDF also makes it easy to migrate.
Hi frank3 , if you arent using the MYOB system to distribute your invoices (eg you are saving to PDF and emailing yourself), and you do not want the payments services, then you do not need to complete this upgrade.
This upgrade is focused around using MYOB software to distribute invoices, as you are already not doing this, there would be no impact to you by not upgrading.
As part of the upgrade, your business turnover would be requested and you are required to accept new direct debit terms and conditions - this is directly related to the payments features.
