    Yah we have 10,000.

Try using keyboard shortcut CTRL-J.  I use this constantly throughout the day.

Here's a quick list of common ones I use

    Enter Sales - CTRL-J

    Receive Payments - CTRL-B

    Enter Purchases - CTRL-E

    Pay Bills - CTRL-M

    Cards List - CTRL-F

    To Do List - CTRL-T

    Find Transactions - CTRL-Y

(this one depends on which Command Centre in the background you're on to where it will land but you can then click ALT-N for instance to go straight to Invoice without having to use your mouse).  Look for the line under the letter and you usually do ALT-? to go there.

    Using keyboard shortcuts

    Hope this helps

    Hi Gavin

I seriously doubt I'll get used to it the computer might go flying out the window by that stage ..

hopefully myob will fix it before that happens ...

Thanks for your advise we have over 2000 cards which we will have to look through

the main issue is opening a new window particularly opening a cash sale invoice through 2 steps taking a long 8 seconds watching the little circle go round and round ... like the days of dial up

    Hi BJ3

Some users have 500 cards, some have 65,000 cards. How many do you have in your list? Obviously the more you have the slower searches can take. There is a company (MYOX Services) that can delete cards in bulk, if they are no longer required in the file. They can also provide a list showing all customers and when they were last used in a transaction, this can help in decision making when looking to remove. Cards can be removed whether they have been used or not.

Hope this helps. Don't hold your breathe waiting for MYOB to fix it.

    Regards

    Gavin

  • Hi Espeng

Welcome to online accounting - MYOB style!

Seriously though, the adjustment in processing time is something all users have to contend with when going from v19 to AR2026.  Over time you get used to it. For single users the speed adjustment is most significant. For multiple users, the speed is similar and sometimes faster online, depending on how your v19 network was setup.

AR2026 will never be as fast as v19 was. The sad part is it only gets worse over time. As your file gets bigger, things tend to slow more. Not sure how big your v19 file was, but I hoped you purged 'everything' out before you migrated to AR2026. AR2026 doesn't have a purge function, so file just grows and grows, and gets slower and slower. There is a company that purges online files to reduce file size and speed up processing, however it can be costly.

Some of the 'time saving' benefits such as bank feeds mitigate some of the lost time.

    Regards

    Gavin

    Hey Espeng,

Appreciate you sharing your experience moving from Premier 19 and how slow things feel in AccountRight. Since everything on your end has already been checked, here are a couple of things that can still affect speed when working online:

    • Internet connection needs at least 0.5 Mbps upload for AccountRight to run smoothly.
    • Antivirus programs can slow things down if they’re scanning AccountRight files, so adding exclusions can help.

We also have this link with extra speed and performance tips for AccountRight if you want to try a few more tweaks.

    Cheers,

    Doreen
