Error code 504 connection to API has timed out

Hi,

We run Accountright and also utilise Subscribe HR software. When we try to sync the 2, Subscribe HR often shows:

ERROR: Response code: 504. Message: {"Errors":[{"Name":"GatewayTimeout","Message":"Connection to the API has timed out","AdditionalDetails":"Maximum call time is 29 seconds","ErrorCode":null,"Severity":"Error","LearnMore":"http://developer.myob.com/api/accountright/api-overview/error-messages"}],"Information":"Warning, error messages have not been finalised in this release and may change"}

The link takes you to a list of error codes but I can't find anything about correcting them.

When the error code shows, not all the data comes across from Subscribe HR to MYOB. Do you know what is causing this and how we can fix it please?

Thanks

    Hi MAJackie , this error, and error 500 (Internal Server Error) can only be resolved by SubscribeHR themselves.

    From time to time, calls to the API will be rejected at the 'front gate', and the only solution is for the external program to make the same call again. Usually the second request gets through, although we allow up to 6 retries, the maximum I've ever seen is 4.

    SubscribeHR need to amend their program accordingly.

      PS - to the moderators - the MYOB Business API forum does not appear to be listed in the revamped "Browse Community" drop-down.

        Hi Mike_James

        Thanks for the feedback.

        The MYOB Business API is a specialist board and thus wouldn't appear in the "standard" drop-down when selecting to start a new post from the Community Forum Homepage or other boards. You would need to select Show All.. before navigating to the board -- Partners>>Developers>>MYOB Business API>>MYOB Business API. Of course, if you are already on the MYOB Business API board and select Start a Post it should pre-populate with that board.

        Just a reminder that the MYOB Business API board can be located via Browser Community>>Partners>>Developers>>MYOB Business API>>MYOB Business API. Alternatively, you might like to save that as a Favourite Board for easier access.
