Error on bank file being loaded

Hi

I am assisting another user with their payroll setup and we are trying to process a bank file for the first time.  I have used bank files successfully for many years so I understand how they work.  We have processed the bank file and it has saved a file to my computer.  When we go to upload it to the internet banking we get an error message

 

Error 317647: The direct entry file cannot be imported. Please return to your payroll or accounting system to correct the file and try again.

 

On opening up the aba file in notes, there is no information contained in the file - it is completely blank.  Any ideas of what could be happening here please?

    Thanks for posting your concern in the forum. 

     

    I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties with the information in the ABA file you've generated. In my understanding, the ABA file information is taken from the information from the Employee card's Payment details. I suggest checking the employee card to make sure there is information for the ABA file. If the information is complete in this window but the ABA file is still blank, feel free to let us know and we'll check this further.
