It's a long shot but worth trying. It's usually for when there's some kind of data inconsistency.
Reports sent to Excel are based on Excel templates, and like any such file they then have to be saved.

JS321 , have you considered creating an Excel macro to store in your personal workbook that would automate the text-to-number correction? If you wish, send me an example of a report which needs correction, my email address is on our home page (datawise.co.nz), and I'll set one up.

Hi Mike,
Thanks so much for all your suggestions. I can do a work around so that's okay, but I was hoping to get to the bottom of why this was suddenly occurring. Since you don't have the same issue, I'll check the MS Office angle.
