Its nice to see and actual MYOB response to this issue, though I won't hold my breath as this issue has been ongoing for over 3 years with support requests and community posts getting no valid response.
The ASD Article I posted was First published: 15 Dec 2016, and Last updated:24 Jul 2023 when the issue became prevalent as this became Microsoft's default policy position.
Worth noting that this is not an issue for MYOB Cloud products...
I have seen the thread of no valid responses from MYOB - my IT guy actually laughed at how bad their response was!
I know it is not an issue for the cloud products but the cloud doesn't offer the same reports as the desktop version which is another point of contention and the reports I use on a daily basis are only available on the desktop version.
I am really confused as to how a company of MYOB's size completely ignores Microsoft security updates and tries to prompt work arounds to these security measures.
This issue is making my job 1000 x harder!!!
