how to enter historical transaction manually in MYOB Business Lite?

I need to enter transactions older than two years as I cannot get the data from the bank downloads to .qif file older than two years or how can I convert a .csv file to .qif to import? any help appreciated. Thankyou

  • Hi Charm11,

There isn't a manual option to record historical transactions in MYOB. The historical balance in the file reports is based on the unaccounted transactions before your application's conversion date. The only way to change this is by editing the file's opening balance. I recommend reading through this link to learn more about how historical balance works.

    Thanks,

      Hi Genreve

Ok, thankyou for your reply and link.

I have set the opening balance to the start date of the account and nothing has been reconciled as yet as I'm just getting all the data into the system prior the bank feed start date. This is for a 3 year construction project to analyse data and create reports. I will read though the link to understand more.

      Thanks Again

      Kind Regards

      • Hey Genreve - in your situation, I think the idea is to "manually enter the transactions via the Bank Register module.  This will allow you to both enter the transactions on the bottom of the window as well as see the transactions listed with a running balance so you know what you are missing easily." At least, that's what I read elsewhere in the community. I do hope it helps. C
