importing manually credit card problem

Hi, I have to import credit card transactions manually using a qif files.

It has brought in all the expenses into the Deposit column and all payments to the credit card into the withdrawal column.

This is wrong is it?

  1. Is there a way to fix this once the file has been imported?
  2. is there a way to fix this before importing?

  • Hi ADG001

I think you will find this is because it is a Liability Bank account, not an Asset Bank account. Try using one day of transactions first and see how the allocation works out for your expenses, etc.

    Cheers

    • This is an accepted solution. There is no point importing the data again if its wrong.

        Hi ADG001

I'm not sure who marked this as a solution or why and it will probably mean you need to start a new thread to get attention. Sorry I couldn't help but I've never seen this happen before - just thought one day's transactions may be easy to delete if it didn't work. I tend to use older versions so they're pretty bug free unlike the newer versions. You don't want to be trying to change transactions every time so if it's a bug it needs to be fixed.

        Cheers
