Change Payroll in a Previous Year

I'm in 2027 but need to change payroll entries in 2025 for an employee that was missed.  MYOB only lets me post changes in 2027 and 2026.  How do I go back to 2025?  Why doesn't the payroll software show all previous years, same as the accounting software?

    Hi essentials,

It’s a bit of a head-scratcher when your accounting reports keep the older years on hand, but payroll only shows the current and previous ones. Once you’ve rolled over to a new payroll year, the STP area only shows the current and previous payroll years, so 2025 won’t be available once the file is in 2027. If you need to change payroll entries for that year, please contact the ATO to discuss completing a manual amendment for the historical payroll year.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

    Thanks, that's what I thought.

Looks like I'll have to dig out an old paper Group Certificate and put it in the mail.

Any chance this can be flagged for a fix/update?

    Hi essentials,

Having to dig out an old paper Group Certificate and mail it isn't ideal. You can post your suggestion about accessing earlier payroll years on the MYOB Business Ideas Exchange.

Might do, but any change could be 5 years away so it doesn't help me now.

    Paper it is!
