Hi AB8,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum. I hope you find plenty of useful information.
To move a casual employee to full or part-time, you'll need to create a new employee record for them. This is because of the way the Holidays Act works, whereby annual leave is calculated on whichever is greater than the Average Weekly Earnings or the Ordinary Weekly Pay. The Average Weekly Earnings is based on the last 52 weeks, and this will still be used by Payroll if you use the employee's original record. For more information on how annual leave payments work, visit the Department of Labor website.
You may also have a look at this helpful article moving casual employees to full-time or part-time that has detailed information and instructions to assist with this.
If you need further help, don't hesitate to start a new post and we'll be happy to assist.
Otherwise, if my response has answered your enquiry, please click "Accept as Solution" to assist other users find this information.
Cheers,
Shella
