Thanks for the queries. You can indeed do the first pay for the new payroll year without finalizing the end of the previous payroll year. However, it's important to first compare your payroll reports to identify and fix any discrepancies. Once that's done, you can record a payment with a July payment date before finalizing. Just remember, because the July pay is dated in the new payroll year, it won't be included in the payroll year you are yet to finalize. Let me know if you have other questions!

I am waiting to hear back from the accountant if an adjustment is needed to 24/25 year payroll, however, the new payroll for the new year is tomorrow for this particular client. Will it cause any issues if I go ahead and do the payroll tomorrow, but then in a few days time go back and do a payroll for June (if needed)?
