Should terminated employees stay on current records despite being 2 years ago?

Hi there,

I have an employee that was terminated in EOFY June 2023, however continues to show up on reports as a nil record.  I have done all the required notifications to ATO etc and made him inactive, but still shows up on my 2024 EOFY records.  It's just a bit annoying and misleading.  Any suggestions?

  • All good, once I finalised the 2024 data, the terminated employee from 2023 no longer shows up.

They must leave it there for another year in case you want him back!

    Hi robsel,

That's a relief to hear! MYOB keeps terminated employees on record just in case you decide to rehire them. Also, for historical reasons and audits.

Feel free to get in touch if you need more help in the future.

    Cheers,
