Termination Pay

Hi there, 

 

We tried to process the final pay it was included Annual Leave Paid out and Long Service Leave paid out. 

 

Refer to ATO, the employer does not need to pay super on Leave Entitlement paid out. However when we process the final pay run, super calculated including 10.5% on Leave Entitlement paid out as well. Also PAYG witholding tax was incorrect. 

 

Would you please help me to explain why would can happen? We set up Unused Annual Leave and unused LSL allocated to ATO cagetory: Lump Sump A - Termination.

    Hi there

     

    You need to go into your Superannuation payroll category, to Exempt, and then tick the appropriate payroll categories :)

      To resolved the issue as mentioned  by one of our trusted user vidario1, You just need to check into your Superannuation payroll category and tick the appropriate categories.  May I know if you still need further assistance with this?
