SICK LEAVE ACCRUALS

Hi Team

 

An employee is questioning his leave accrual, so I've been looking into it today. We have our leave accruals set the same since I have started back in 2019 for the company I work, set at 2.923%. I've just printed his report for the last 5 years and it changed from around 2023 to 2.221 for a 76hr fortnight. Only difference between this colleague and my own is that he is on Hourly rate and I'm on Salary. I have checked my own and it also changed in 2023. We have 23 employees and i don't want to have to run reports for everyone of them and check their accrual manually. What has happened??

    Thanks for sharing what you’ve noticed. I can see why this would be confusing, and checking every employee’s report individually isn’t ideal.

     

    The most likely cause is a change to the leave pay item setup. Rather than reviewing each employee, I’d recommend checking the shared leave pay item’s calculation basis, any exemptions that have been added, and the standard hours.
