Thanks for laying that out clearly. Because those termination pays were processed before STP reporting was set up, they won’t show in the STP reporting window the same way later pays do. An update event can send the employees’ latest year-to-date figures through to the ATO, but it won’t make those original pre-STP pay events appear as if they were lodged through STP at the time. On the duplicate-pay suggestion, you’re right to be cautious. Recording another pay with the ETP values would also affect your payroll reports unless there’s a corresponding correction behind it, so it’s not something I’d suggest doing lightly.
