Bills connected to accounts payable

Hi, 

I'm trying to use my bills account to update my accounts payable automatically without me having to do a journal entry.  At the moment it is only recording the GST amount and I'm not too sure how to fix this.

    Welcome to the Community Forum. When you mentioned that you want to 'update my accounts payable automatically', is that the Liability Account for Tracking Payables that needs to be increasing automatically when you record a bill?

     

    If that is the case, you can change the Linked account under; Setup > Linked Accounts > Purchases Accounts.

     

    I have attached our Help Article on setting up the Linked Accounts, which gives a more detailed explanation on how it works.
