Card surcharges

MYOB has not yet announced how online payments will be handled after card surcharges are banned starting 1 October 2026. Less than 2 months before the ban comes into affect.

    Hi

They have just announced the surcharge will be removed from 1st October, but I'm sure we will be paying for it some how.  Nothing was mentioned on the announcement.

    Regards

Hi, we were previously forced to use MYOB online payments because without it, we'll have to manually download and then email invoices to our clients. Is there a way to continue to send invoices through MYOB's system, but turn off the card/bpay payment options? We don't want to pay/absorb the surcharges, but it's too inefficient to download and send invoices manually. It's not what we would expect of an accounting system - to force us to pay surcharges if we want to send invoices online through MYOB. We also don't wish to raise our prices to include the 1.8% for every client because we won't know if they will choose to pay by card. Thanks.
