Issues migrating from AccountRight desktop application to web interface

I’m trying to migrate to using my MYOB AccountRight web interface because the desktop application is so riddled with bugs that it is consuming a significant amount of my time troubleshooting issues.

Unfortunately, my experience with the web interface has not been much better.

The first time I tried to create an invoice, I immediately received the following error:

[DecimalError] Invalid argument: undefined

I also have a very long list of recurring sales transactions, and there does not appear to be a way to search this list. I therefore have to manually scroll through the entire list to find the recurring transaction I need.

Another limitation is that I cannot print an invoice directly to a printer from the web interface. It only allows me to generate/export the invoice as a PDF, which I then have to open separately and print.

    Hi Matty72,

I’m sorry to hear that the move to the AccountRight browser interface hasn’t been as smooth as expected, especially after the issues you’ve already experienced with the desktop app. The browser version doesn’t currently include every feature available in AccountRight desktop. This includes searching the recurring transactions list and printing an invoice directly to a printer, so invoices need to be exported as a PDF first and then printed. Regarding the [DecimalError] Invalid argument: undefined message, this can occur when creating an invoice from a recurring transaction that contains settings or lines not yet fully supported in the browser version. In particular, blank lines or text-only lines in the recurring transaction can cause the error. As a workaround, open the recurring transaction in AccountRight desktop, remove any blank or text-only lines, save it, and then try prefilling the invoice in the browser again.

    Regards,

    Sai
