New invoicing glitch?
Hi, as of today 9/8/24, I'm noticing that I no longer have the ability to freely edit the information in each column while editing recurring invoices. For example, if I click into the description...
Hi LSHMND,
It seems that the recurring invoice window is acting differently in your end. I tried replicating it on my end and I seem to not have the same issue. Additionally, there is no reported instance of an issue similar to what you described. I recommend trying to recreate the same task in a different computer to see if the same issue appears. As it is potentially connected to the browser/computers settings.
Let us know the results of testing and or if you need any further help with this.
Thanks,
Genreve
I've had the same issue start at about the same time; it was working fine on the 6th, and I noticed it on the 8th after taking the 7th off. It occurs on new and existing invoice/bill pages, for the main entry fields (Description, quantity, prices etc.). Not only does it always place the cursor at the end of the text, it also disables you from highlighting text.
I tried it on a different computer and it doesn't seem to have the same problem.
Hi all, this is looking like a cache issue.
If you haven't already tried this, see Clearing the AccountRight Cache | MYOB Community for instructions for the desktop program/cloud file, or How To Clear Cache for All Major Browsers - Quick And Easy (youstable.com) to clear the browser cache for browser-only programs.
I cleared my cache and it didn't solve it. I also cleared the site data/cookies for good measure, but that didn't work either.
Hi Genreve
I am just wondering if you are seeing (hearing) all the users with the same issue - whether it be a recurring invoice or creating a new invoice or duplicating an invoice.
Unfortunately your response is a moderator's generic one to one and all answers to the subscribers issues raised with MYOB and the "updates".
This issue of not being able to edit using the mouse cursor anywhere in the description etc leaves MYOB open to be blamed for repetitive strain injury to the user as the ease of the data entry has now been taken away from the user.
I am not sure if the MYOB programmers are familiar with the day to day data entry requirements of a business.
There are a lot of issues within MYOB since the latest "behind the scene" upgrade/s so much so MYOB has had to refund monies to subscribers due to the automatic selection of paying subscribers invoices by credit card - even though the subscriber has never had that option "turned on" previously.
So I would encourage you to search within the MYOB programmers realm to request to have this and many other options returned to the user.
There are also issues with the inventory section whereby you set up the items in the inventory only to have half the information NOT automatically be seen when entering a supplier's invoice - so one is mystified as to why you would put the information in the set up originally - a total waste of the subscribers time AGAIN.
Thx
I gave up checking for a fix on here when i found that the problem was that MYPB developers have not included firefox for mac on their user friedly platform list. Using chrome has solved a log of the issues, but i have many more I won't go into here - lets just say, all this has put me of and i will probably switch back to xero!
Ah yes - I hear you loud and clear.
There are many issues with MYOB in lots of areas.
I do not think the programmers actually use the program they are writing or listen to the feedback of the actual users who "try" to use the program every day. They have tried to change things where changes were not needed - and this makes subscribers leave and go elsewhere.
It WAS a good product but now ......................
