Outdated Help Guides & Missing Basic Features (Merge Contacts / Change Invoice Customer)
I am extremely frustrated with the lack of basic functionalities in MYOB Business (Web version) and your outdated Help documentation.
I accidentally created three duplicate profiles for the same customer, each with an invoice attached. I am facing two major issues trying to fix this:
- Unable to Change Customer on Invoice: Once an invoice is saved, the customer field is completely locked and cannot be edited.
- Missing "Merge Contacts" Feature: Your official Help guides repeatedly tell users to use a "Merge" tool. However, this feature does not exist anywhere on the current web interface.
The only workarounds available are incredibly time-consuming (deleting and manually re-entering everything to preserve invoice numbers for accounting audits). Your Help documentation is severely lagging behind your actual software updates, causing users to waste hours searching for ghost menus. For example:the recurring method for changing the customer name is completely misleading and you cannot find the menu or button as it indicated.
Can a Community Manager please escalate this directly to the product development team? We urgently need a "Merge Contacts" or "Change Customer on Invoice" button implemented on the web platform.
