Thanks for sending these through. For the date range, there isn't an option to permanently set it so it always defaults to latest invoices, so it does need to be adjusted each time at the moment.
With the smart invoice reminders popping up, we've actually had another user raise this on our Ideas Board. You can jump in there and cast a vote as well. The more votes it gets, the more visibility it has with our product team.
