I am now unable to send out Supplier invoices - MYOB is saying I need to upgrade to secure invoicing to email this invoice? I completed the upgrade steps days ago - only because I had to - now await...
Hi AndrewC2340 - this Community forum is owned and moderated by MYOB. I dont think it is unreasonable that information about our competitors is removed. You can definitely look at this as censorship, but I certainly feel I am being more than reasonable with the level of negative sentiment that is directly being expressed in this conversation thread in particular. I do not/will not silence customers when they are sharing feedback about changes such as this, but as always, there are reasonable guidelines you need to be mindful of. Thanks, Mike
Hi BB95 , I have responded quickly here, because comments about 'censorship' in the community forum directly impacts the perception of visitors and members and their use of the Community Forum.
I should perhaps update my role from 'Admin' as I am the Social and Community Experience Manager at MYOB. Ensuring that the Community forum is a valuable and engaging platform for everyone who visits, views, and posts is critical to me.
As manager of the Community forum, I am able to be both responsive and decisive about how the forum operates (such as deleting a post that includes a screenshot of pricing and plans for a competitor).
However I do not have authority to make decisions on behalf of MYOB about changes such as Secure Invoicing. What I can do though, is ensure that there is a proper feedback loop between our customers and management/product managers at MYOB. I can assure you that I am doing this, and will continue to do so with the comments and feedback about Secure invoicing here in particular.
If you would like to discuss my role, the forum, or how it is moderated in more detail, please feel free to send me a private message with any questions.
Nice to see a proper feedback loop is finally being established.
Afterall, what good is feedback if it just lets people vent their frustrations between themselves and the people with any power to elleviate the situation are behind closed doors oblivious to the suffering of the users.
"Let them eat cake, & keep that door well-bolted Jeeves. Oh, and ready the boiling oil, just in case"
Thanks for acknowledging my efforts in monitoring these conversations AndrewC2340 The feedback loop through the community forum is stronger than ever with our refreshed ideas exchange launched in November for the everyday feedback and of course my involvement for other situations such as this. Even better is that once a month we will be spotlighting/introducing an MYOB Product manager in the forum. February was Harry who manages the sales (procure to pay) workflow - see here There were only 2 questions asked of him but Im positive that we will get more engagement as the year progresses. Its a great way to connect customers and members in the forum directly to our product team.
I think there are a too many variables to how the Secure Invoicing change has been communicated and managed to date, both good and bad, for me to provide a clear answer to you right now. To your comment though, the 'overlords' as you say ARE definitely listening and monitoring but they are also definitely not sitting back in comfy chairs waiting for people to 'break'.
We would never lock you out for insubordination or ready the boiling oil either. Watch this space, the feedback is heard and being considered.
I didnt even use the other name, just an image, so I presume they are actually looking.
MikeG1, thanks for being more than reasonable in light of the negative sentiment.
Do you think MYOB are being "reasonable" for forcing this on us, given the negative sentiment?
The negative sentiment can all quiet down significantly if MYOB listen and remove this requirement.
I know youre all listening there in your ivory tower, leaning back in those comfy chairs.
Management and the over-lords, monitoring the escallating situation and seeing just when people will break and accept, nay "embrace" your tentacles of control.
Thats how I imagine it is.
What next?
Lock me out of my data file for insubordination? You wouldn't would you?
