I am now unable to send out Supplier invoices - MYOB is saying I need to upgrade to secure invoicing to email this invoice? I completed the upgrade steps days ago - only because I had to - now await...

MYOB is not turning off the email function, but restricting the distribution (eg email) of invoices to verified customers to help reduce invoice fraud in Australia.

Yes, MYOB has turned off the email function, that's not a restriction, it's OFF! - my bookkeeper has to print each invoice to a PDF and then use her email software to send it to our customers.

If you have not completed the upgrade to Secure invoicing and verified your business, then you are now restricted from emailing (or using copy link & SMS) your invoices. Or in your terms, it is off for you yes.
Once you complete the verification, you will be able to email, SMS or copy link your invoices as part of the secure distribution system within our secure invoicing feature.And therein lies the problem!!
MYOB asking us to do this excessive verification. We have 2 trusts that own the company and MYOB asking for all the trustees to verify their identity and upload ID documents.
NOT DOING IT!! Moving to Xero as soon as time permits.
And to top it off...MYOB has whacked their subscription up again!
I have completed the verification under duress and still am not able to email invoices from MYOB!!! What is the delay with turning emailing back on???
I wonder what they mean by "invoices will need to be downloaded and emailed manually".
I see no "download" option. Can MYOB please create a documented proceedure outlining this download process.
I am using the full Accountright application, not the web version.
It also suggests above that "Once you complete the verification process, you will be able to email, SMS or copy link your invoices as part of the secure distribution system within our secure invoicing feature." which suggests sending emails with invoice.PDF attachments must work "within" the secure invoicing feature.
An invoice.PDF file may therefore not meet the "secure" requirements. And if the secure invoicing feature can be turned off after jumping through the invasive hoops to let MYOB take a pound of flesh, whats the point?

RE: Download invoice and email manually - you would need to open the invoice you wish to send, then go to Print, choose your form (probably the first option), then in the Print dialogue box (General) choose "Print to PDF" as your printer, then save the invoice on your hard drive or other storage medium in an easy to find folder. This PDF file can then be attached in an email to the client. You won't need to do this if you have verified your company details for Secure Invoicing.
Also, once you have verified, the Secure Invoicing feature cannot be turned off - it's the Online Invoice Payments option that you may wish to choose to opt-out of. The fees charged for MYOB to process your online invoice payments are not worth it in my opinion (and many others' opinions), but unless you have an issue like using a 3rd party software to synch invoices or you do a "copy invoice" to create new invoices, the system-wide online invoice payments feature can be turned off, and it won't affect your ability to email (share) invoices - once you have verified!
My main gripe with this "mandatory upgrade" is the bundling of secure invoicing with automatically enabling online invoice payments through MYOB. That should have been a separate and optional step after verifying. But that wouldn't have grabbed as many users into the fee-earning online invoice payments system that increases MYOB's revenue (they hope!)
