MYOB Offline Files

Hi RuffyBlue 

 

What sort of offline files are you referring to? If it is an older version that you have a perpetual licence for, then MYOB have previously stated that they will continue to confirm these files. The sales rep's have been known, on more than one occasion, to "misinform" customers so you should persist with asking on here for an answer so that you have a written response. It's a good idea to keep a screenshot if they do advise that you can continue to use your file as they also archive threads and you can't see these anymore. There is an alternative provider for confirmation of Legacy MYOB files if this is what you have and you can contact me at majubawest@hotmail.com for more information if required.

Have you got more information that older desktop/offline/non-cloud-based files (eg v19 or other non-cloud-based) will continue to be able to be confirmed and continue being used?

    Hi LC2223 

    I haven't asked on here recently as all of my v19 files are continuing to confirm and I haven't received any emails from MYOB to tell me otherwise. Several years ago, MYOB tried to force users over to paid subscriptions by telling them they would no longer be able to confirm their files and the users threatened a class action based upon the Perpetual Licences for the files. As a result of this, MYOB agreed to continue confirming the files at that time. The posts for this have been removed (or archived) on the Forum so there may still be a risk that MYOB will choose to reverse their decision. However, should they decide to do this, there is an alternative solution as I said but I can't mention it on here which is why I suggested contacting me at majubawest@hotmail.com  if necessary.
