Attachments with invoices

yesterday I loved the new feature that allowed multiple attachments to be attached on the sales invoice, that are automatically included when emailing the invoice (but can be deleted)

But today I found out that the attachments can't be opened.  Message  "It appears that we don't support this file format"   even though it is a .jpg.

It works if I attach them from a different file and send them.    But not the ones uploaded directly in myob.

  • Hey SilverS

It looks like the attachment is opening in Paint 3D vs in Microsoft Edge as a PDF. Are you able to send through the jpg file that you're trying to open in a direct message please?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, I can.    What address do I sent it to?      The PDF's seem to go OK.    Its the photos that don't go through.

    Regards Carol.

    Hey SilverS

You can send it in a direct message on the community forum. If you click on my profile, there will be a message icon on the right.

Sorry Amanda,    I can't see any message icon.  Where is it?

    Hey SilverS

I've attached a screenshot below of what you should be able to see:

The screenshot you've shown doesn't have the message icon on the right most cause you aren't signed in. You'll need to sign in and then you should have the option to message.

    Hi SilverS ,

I'm pleased to confirm that last night we were able to release a temporary fix for this situation.

From today, all file attachments that are emailed will be automatically converted to PDF so the attachment can be opened by recipients.

While this temporary fix is in place, we will continue to work on the long term solution where all file types will be supported and can be sent/opened in their original format without being converted to PDF.

    Regards, Mike

Thanks Mike,     I thought that this was working great.     I have just been dragging the photos across to myob to send with the invoices.     Quick and easy.

But have just found out that certain invoices sent don't have the correct photos that are attached in myob.   They are sending other incorrect photos.   Upon investigation I think it has to do with the name of the photo.     If I don't rename it eg. Image1, Image2
