Cannot convert stock alerts to purchase orders - AccountRight Premier

Hello

We have have minimal issues with this for decades but in recent months its become increasingly slow to convert stock alerts to PO's. It just times out after several minutes or tells us that there is an internet connection issue. On the server version that we used up until early this calendar year, we never had an issue, but this year its become increasingly worse, to the point where it will allow us to to convert a few lines at a time. Any more than 25-30 lines, forget it. As we have over 5000 SKUs, this is a growing issue and extremely time consuming, even for just 60+ lines.

Thanks! I've read posts during the last couple of years which mention that the browser handles reordering better.

    Hi KevinFe2,

Thanks for explaining this. We understand it would be a real hassle if selecting a large number of items from Stock Alerts doesn’t create the purchase order correctly.

In AccountRight Premier, Stock Alerts is the desktop workflow used to create purchase orders. However, selecting a large number of lines can cause the window to hang or leave some items off the order. As a workaround, manually select the items in smaller batches, then click Order/Build for each batch. If you need one large consolidated purchase order, you can create it manually via Purchases > Enter Purchases, select Order, and add the required items.

This appears to be a limitation with the high-volume Stock Alerts workflow rather than an item setup issue. Please reach out to our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via My Account so we can further look into this.

    Regards,

    Sai

Thank you Sai, but I lodged a case (#03277800) on the 6th of this month for this issue, with no follow up whatsoever!  And that was after waiting for more than 1 hour on the phone at the time. You can imagine how I/ we feel about this all. This issue has become a real pain and has only been very problematic in the last month or so. For decades prior, no issue. The product is advertised to mange limitless inventory items. We only carry around 6000 SKUs and it can (in this case and only recently) cannot work with just 40-50 lines. That is in no way a large number of items. Our IT company says it works fine offline, so could be an API issue? Creating manual PO's is unrealistic and extremely time consuming and fraught with errors.  It should work, as it has for many, many years.

    Hi KevinFe2,

Sorry for the wait. We’re receiving a high volume of requests at the moment, so response times can take a little longer than usual. Rest assured, once someone from the support team is available, they’ll attend to your request. For the issue itself, it’s hard to say from here whether this is an API issue or something else in the file. Since you’re seeing it only recently and it’s affecting a relatively small number of lines, the safest next step is to have support check the file and the workflow directly so they can pinpoint what changed behind the scenes.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

    Hi Mike_James

Thank you, but I cannot see where I can do this (convert stock alert to a PO) in the browser version. Any idea where I can find stock alerts in the browser version?

You are a legend! I found it (with your help) = Reporting , Reports, Inventory, Reorder. It did it all in 4-5 seconds. THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!

This is a great workaround, and hopefully MYOB can fix the core issue so that staff can work from the desktop, as it has for over 20 years prior to recent times
