Can't change Invoice which isn't in locked period

Hi, MYOB AccountRight - Version 2025.11.1.3 I have always been able to go back into an Invoice and add an extra line or delete a line.  But it won't let me do it.   Why is this?   It isn't the Locked Period as I have made sure that has been changed to correct date.  Does this have something to do with the last upgrade?

I can see why that'd catch you off guard, especially if you've always been able to jump back into an invoice and tweak it without any dramas. Usually when this happens, it comes down to permissions or a setting, rather than the upgrade itself. It's worth having a quick look at two things:

    • Your user role:

If you're logged in under a role that doesn't allow invoice edits, MYOB will lock that invoice down even though it looks editable. A quick check of your role permissions should tell the story.

    • Your security preference:

In Setup > Security, there's a setting called "Transactions CAN'T be changed; They must be reversed." If that's turned on, it'll stop any changes to existing invoices, adding or deleting lines included. You'll want to make sure that one's switched off.

This link explains it all nicely and shows where to check: Deleting a transaction.
