Inventory Item is displaying a QOH - even after Stock Counting to zero

Hello. I have an item that won't stock take down to zero. When I'm in the Count Inventory it displays as a zero balance, when I look at the Item it shows a balance on hand with lots of decimal placin...

There are a few programming bugs in the inventory module, and what you are seeing is one of them. There are 2 things that cause this issue:

  • one you can fix by yourself, or get MYOB to run a script
  • the other you cannot fix yourself, and sometimes the MYOB script won't fix either

 

You can't use Inventory Count to adjust from 0 to 0. So first adjust to 1. Then adjust to 0. If this fixes the display issue, all good. If the weird numbers return, then it is the 2nd type. MYOB's script might fix this. If not the file can be repaired by a 3rd party to remove these.

 

However fixing this number does not solve the issue that causes it to happen, so until MYOB takes this 'simple' issue seriously and fix the display problem, you are likely to keep seeing these numbers from time to time.
