MYOB AccountRight 2019.3 PDF problem

Hi All,

Version: AccountRight 2019.3 perpetual license

Problem: unable to create PDF

Tried to PDF my sale invoice by using "send to disk" "cute pdf writer" "Microsoft pdf ",  they all either came out blank in the middle or corrupted pdf ( unable to open).

I m not a computer expert, not sure what is causing the problem.

Any advice would be appreciated greatly

Regards,

Jen

    Hi mypayroll

    Thank you for your reply.

Generally, with System.OutOfMemoryException errors there could be either a software behaviour throwing that error or an environmental factor/s causing the issue. Whichever the case we want to make sure that the software you are using is running at its best performance, which is why we recommend updating to a later version. We also want to keep in mind that AccountRight 2019.3 was decommissioned in July this year, which means it's not updated with the full scale of changes as is for the later versions that are able to mintage some of these System.OutOfMemoryException errors.

In saying that, we also want to rule out and mitigate environmental factors. What we can see is that Acrobat is throwing an error as well, which could be the reason we are unable to create a PDF, and perhaps the reason the software is throwing the System.OutOfMemoryException error. However, because this is an Adobe error, my recommendation is to have a look at Adobe resources that discuss in more detail how best to resolve this issue. In my own research, I have found several users provide a number of solutions with the most prominent one being to update to the latest version of Adobe Acrobat. If you already have the latest version and the problem is still occurring, you can try some of the resolutions below. However, before giving them a try, I strongly recommend engaging an IT professional for assistance:

    • Disable Acrobats Enhanced Security Protection Mode
    • Clear all temporary Internet files
    • Clear browser cache

Once you have resolved Adobe Acrobat, try to create a PDF in the software again and see if it throws out the same error. Please let us know how you get on.

    Hi mypayroll

Thank you for your post and sorry this is occurring for you.

This error generally occurs if you have a larger file and/or processing a higher task (i.e. a larger than normal PDF size). What you could look into is upgrading to a later version of AccountRight, since changes made to AccountRight 2020.3 for example have helped to mitigate those Out of Memory errors.

Also, you could try to split the content you are including in the PDF into two sections and create multiple, smaller, PDF documents. This has worked for other clients who too have received this error when creating a PDF.

Please let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

      Hi Jesh,

Thank you for your reply, :smileyvery-happy:

I do not think is worth spending 12 months subscription just to get the latest update for this PDF problem. the software should be working without updates. it can generate 10 pages of GST report in PDF without a problem,

"Also, you could try to split the content you are including in the PDF into two sections and create multiple, smaller, PDF documents."

How do I split the content? I tried to use CutePDF ( create a smaller PDF document), however, the same error.

I can try to re-install the software where can I find the download link?

Your prompt response will be much appreciated

      Regards,

      Jen
