Rate Rounding Up in Time Billing Invoice

Hi MYOB,

We need to use the exact rate of $193.99 for NDIS Invoices.

While in the window processing the Invoice, it always shows $193.99 but when the Invoice is sent to the customer, sometimes the rate has rounded to $194.00.

This doesn't happen all the time, just randomly on different invoices and sometimes only 1 line of an invoice (like the example i have attached)

Is there a way to stop this happening? Invoices with an incorrect rate cannot be processed and i have to manually change these using Adobe - very time consuming.

    Hi BeckMW,

Since the correct rate of $193.99 appears while processing the invoice but changes when sent, it could be due to how the system handles rounding in time billing settings. Ensure that your rounding settings under time billing preferences are set correctly. Please see this help page for more information, Setting time billing preferences and Billing for time.

    I hope this helps!

    Regards,
    Earl

Unfortunately it doesn't look like this has fixed the issue, unless its something to do with the csv file I import for Activity Slips - could it have anything to do with that?

    Hi BeckMW,

There’s currently a known hiccup in AccountRight's time billing feature. If you’re using time billing invoices and the calculated amount (activity rate multiplied by hours/units) ends up with three or more decimal places, the rounding can cause the rate to look a bit off after processing and sending the invoice. Our developers are aware of this and are investigating the issue. I’ve added your account to the list of those affected, so you’ll be in the loop. Thanks so much for hanging in there.

    Cheers,

    Princess

Can my account be added to the list of those affected? We are having the same issue of rounding and also many decimal places in time billing when the invoices come over via APi from Flow Logic CRM. Is it just the time billing invoices that this is happening to?

    Hi Chrissiee,

Yes, based on what we’ve seen so far, this odd rounding and extra decimals are only showing up on time billing invoices. Don't worry, I’ve already included your account in the ticket we raised, so you’ll be kept in the loop as soon as there’s any news.

    Cheers,

    Princess

    Hi all

We are also experiencing this exact same issue when importing activities into MYOB. I have also worked through the time billing preferences and billing for time from the first response, however that has not solved it.

Has this been fixed within your file?

Princess_R additionally can my files also been added to those affected to hopefully get a resolution to this issue.

    Thanks

    Hi Bec18

Unfortunately, 7 months on and there is still no solution to this issue.

I am still having to manually change rates in a PDF so Plan Managers accept Invoices. Its beyond frustrating.

Princess_R i know you responded to this 2 months ago, do you have any sort of update?

    Thank you

    Hi

    Yes extremely frustrating!

Princess_R essentially we require MYOB to have a field in the customise invoice area to take the EXACT rate of the activity (which is part of the activity data it pulls onto the invoice).

Currently MYOB takes the total it calculates from the activity slip and then divides it by the time which in turn creates the rounding issues.

Please see attached the screenshot of an activity slip and the invoice it produces.

This adjustment will assist ALL MYOB users as not every company uses a standard rate with no decimals.

    Thanks

    Hey Bec18,

Thanks for the screenshots you've sent. There haven’t been any updates yet confirming the Rate Rounding Up in Time Billing Invoice issue is fixed. No worries, I’ve added your account to our list of affected users so you'll be updated when there's anything new.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

    Hey Bec18 ,

This has been very frustrating for us also. Have just had the CRM developers change us from Time Billing to Item layout ..... this still caused the same extended decimal places but if you go in and change the template from Price or EX PRICE to EX PRICE 2, it will display the correct number of decimal places (correct price) but you can only do that on the item invoice template and not the time-billing template.

This has been our fix anyway, only just happened today so fingers crossed.
