Sales and purchases not recording

This is a known offline file issue in MYOB AccountRight, not user error.

When you click Record, the transaction fails to write, so the invoice number does not move and the entry disappears. Item creation still works because it saves to a different table.

If cache clearing and reinstall did not help, the file likely needs MYOB backend repair. Restoring backups only works briefly, which matches what others are seeing.

Best next step is to log a case with MYOB and ask for offline file repair or escalation for AccountRight 25.11. This is a blocking bug, not a workaround issue.

To Clear the AccountRight cache (on the PC)

Make sure AccountRight is fully closed (no company files open and not running in the background).

1. On the keyboard press Windows + R.
2. Paste this path %localappdata%\MYOB\AccountRight\Current\Cache
3. Press enter
4. In the folder that opens, press Ctrl + A to select everything, then Delete.
5. (This only deletes temporary cache files, not the company data.)

Hi, I've worked on one offline file since the 2026.1.1.7 update and it was ok.

It was the first file I was working in when the trouble started, so think it is all good now.

The solution in my situation was to turn off Microsoft's One Drive. The program limits the memory expansion of company file, thank you for your replies, hope this helps others. 

depends on which process MYOB gave you...MYOB sent me something different as a fix for offline file and it appears to be working, as does the latest update of 2026. MYOB also requested a copy of my file and determined it was my laptop, which is ridiculous as its brand new and many others on forum tried the fix you posted and still had major issues. I've told any others that ask for the fix to call MYOB direct as not everyone's offline file is the same "product", eg standard. plus, ??? and only MYOB can change the "product".

Hi,  has anyone done the current MYOB update and the files the are having difficulty with recording transactions?  I have updated my online file, but am a bit nervous about doing the offline one.  The update is 2026.1.1.7 - my file has been working fine since I did the process given by MYOB.

call myob 1300 555 123...you need t& PC edition...they also need to change your file from standard to plus...they will help via team viewer or send you a detailed list of what to do with links for downloads...

I also have sales and purchases not recording using AccountRight (std) v19.3 and always offline.

If I follow AndrewsA solution would mean downloading a very different version leading to many new problems. Also I cannot find the cache file described so cannot remove it. 

Has anyone found a solution that works with offline company files that doesn't involve deleting and reinstalling the MYOB application? This is the first issue I have had with the software for 6 years.

Seems like a time or memory allocation issue.

MYOB team sent me this today

Take a back up of the offline file

1. Open the affected company file.
2. Go to File > Back Up.
3. Save the backup locally

Close AccountRight when backup is done.

B. Clear the AccountRight cache (on the PC)

7. Uninstall and reinstall AccountRight
8. Uninstall the current AccountRight application.
9. Download and install the latest version (25.11) of both PC Edition and Server Edition of AccountRight. You may download it on this link: https://www.myob.com/au/support/downloads?page=1
   
10. Once both versions are installed, open the PC edition and restore the backup you have created.
11. Try entering a transaction to check if it will record.

everyone needs to call MYOB direct...they do not read this forum. 1300 555 123 or email the support team...i've done this four, five, six times and get a response with differing results...I'm up to the tenth time of backup, cache empty, uninstall, download SE & PC etc etc etc
