You’ve put in a lot of effort following the steps and testing your invoices yourself. Turning online payments off by default only affects new invoices. For an invoice already created, open it and select Edit or Edit options. Deselect online payments, save the change and resend the invoice. If you have too many invoices to update one by one, you can post a request for bulk invoice sending on the AccountRight Ideas Exchange, so the development team can see it and other users can vote.

The default should be to opt out not opt in. This is like Microsoft defaulting to charging for co-pilot when you don't want it.
