UNABLE TO EMAIL AN INVOICE FROM LOCKED PERIOD

Hello,

 

I have been trying to send customers unpaid invoice as a reminder for payment from locked periods. This happened a few months ago and was fixed!

Today, I cannot email any invoices from locked periods!

Before you tell me to go through Print/Email invoices, Advanced Filters! I do not want employees at our retails stores emailing invoices this way.

So many updates to this Software this year are actually detrimental to ones workflow!

    Hi Jo15,

     

    When a period is locked, it restricts any changes or actions, including emailing invoices, to maintain data integrity. You can temporarily unlock the period, send the necessary invoices, and then lock the period again. See this link for more details about this.

    You do not know what you are talking about! Unlocking a period! All your answers are for small business that have only one user!

      Thanks for following up. I've tried to do this myself using a test file and was able to send an invoice reminder from a locked period with no concerns. Based on this, there might be something else contributing to the error you are experiencing, and it'll be best to get in touch with our support team. Partners can create a support case through their practice dashboard, and our other customers can submit a support case through myaccount.myob.com.
